This week the children have made the most of the good weather and participated in lots of activities outside. At the allotments they crushed weetabix using mallets, climbed a tyre mountain, made ramps in water and guttering for cars, dug holes to scatter wild seeds, and enjoyed the hammock. After moving the tyres to watch Marj weed the planters the children couldn’t resist showing her how it’s done. Making the most of the sunshine the children had a fun filled afternoon at the park. Beating the rain one morning, the children washed the cars and ride on toys using soapy water, sponges and brushes.
Children love hiding places and clambering in and out of spaces, so a box they can fit inside is an ideal space for play. With infinite possibilities for play, the opportunity to let their imaginations go wild and the added bonus of helping develop their practical skills, the box was used well and almost lasted the
